Question I need to identify what kind of dog my dog was...Any help would be appreciated!

When I was 12 I had found a lost dog outside of my mothers office. He was in bad shape, thirsty, had a rope around his neck that he had chewed threw to get away. I convinced my mom to take him home with us. We already had a golden retriever and we're not interested in getting another dog. My mom found a home for him at one of her employes but four days later she said that he was non stop barking and my mom and I also missed him for the short time we had him, so she gave him back. He was now a part of the family.

as did I however I have recently began to look into what type of dog he was since his passing last November and discovered a few other types that he may have had in him. The jingo looks a lot like him and in rare occurrences their tongues would be black as part of his was. He was also terrified of water which I learned the jingo is as well. I miss him so much. I am now 26 and my life hasn't been the same since he left. I am aware that I can never replace him or the love I have for him and I don't want to.

Please any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Am so sorry for your loss, but take heart in the fact that you rescued him and gave him a good life. Let the good memories help you over the sad ones. I am sorry, I cannot help you with the breed identification.

Welcome Nashley428, what a lovely dog you had and how terrific of you and your mom to give him a good home. It's hard to tell from the picture what breeds might have been in him, as well he may have been a mix of mixes. Is there another dog in your immediate future?
