![]() Up by the Pet Store, they have a small doggy walk area. It is obvious that people do not clean up after their dogs there. When I picked Remmy up from the Vet, just a few doors over, he was desperate so I walked him down there, figuring he just had to pee. When he pooped, of course, I did not have a doggy bag with me so I stuck my head in the door of the Pet Store and asked them if they had a bag and I cleaned it up.
I don't see why people do not clean up there after their dogs as they are good enough to have it for them. |

![]() I ALWAYS carry an extra bag. If there is dog poop anywhere around I will step in it.

![]() Junior isn't exactly a small dog and his #2's fit the bill perfectly...
When I first started walking him publicly (years ago) he seemed to be interested in what I was doing with his poop as I picked it up in a bag and would eventually throw it away. Poop is bio-hazardous waste and can carry nasty parasites and bacteria--Junior got worms once (hook-worms I believe it was) and I had no idea how, but figured it must be from the random piles of poop I see while walking him around. People don't clean up after their dogs so he sticks his nose into the poop or somehow ingests it and I get stuck with a $50 bill for ONE giant pill to kill the worms... It's also just nasty. The poop doesn't degrade or get eaten by the insects that quickly and it smells even if it isn't fresh. The only time I don't pick up after him is when I go out into the woods off-trail. Around here you can pretty much make your own trails so I don't really care then. It seems like the poop vanishes the very next day I take him out also. Maybe it's a nice snack to something? ![]() |
