Default What Breed(s) does my dog look to be mixed with?

I found my dog when she was four weeks old. Here are some of her puppy pictures;

When I took her into the veterinarian for the first time, they said she was definitely a lab mix. They guessed she was mixed with an Australian shepherd. As she got older, her appearance changed some-and most people believe she might be mixed with a border collie.

Here are her adult pictures

She's an intelligent dog, has a GREAT temperment{other dogs try and snap at her face and she just lets them, she's also great with kids}, She's very energetic too{I take her on two hour long walks daily, have an hour-two hours of high activity play in the middle of the day, and she still has energy to spare}- She doesn't bark much, she's one of the 'observe quietly' type of dogs.

Her coat is slight wavy on her back and her fur is lighter at the roots and darkens as it goes out.

Just curious on what others might think she is mixed with or what breeds she might have in her.

I was sure when I saw the photos I knew exactly what she is, but I went to check some photos just to be sure before I posted, and now I've confused myself!

I was certain she looks like a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and while she still does after I've checked it's not the 100% match I thought when I first looked at her... I don't know if I'm actually thinking of some other breed (I'm not strong on that group of dogs, not my thing), or if I've seen a Toller who looked more like her at some point, or if I was just wrong.

But she still looks kind of like a Toller, just not 100% purebred as I first thought, so perhaps a Toller-Lab mix?

Good for you for taking care of her! Sounds like you've done a good job considering how very young she was. Is she comfortable around other dogs, does she speak the language, or is she more or less wholly imprinted on humans?

Ama, I love her ears! She does look like a lab mix. I love her markings.

Hm, I can kind of see some Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever in her. Some of her appearance does match the breed.

Thanks She pretty much has this outlook/personality that everything is her friend. XD She gets along great with other dogs, though she does seem to prefer smaller dogs to ones her height or larger. Though that might be because her playmate since puppy hood has been a shih-tzu.

She can seem to read other dogs well, but she kind of doesn't pay them that much attention. Like when we go on walks, if there is a dog ahead of us, or to the side barking, she usually just ignores them and keep walking. She doesn't acknowledge them.

The groomers tell me that she is great with other dogs there too, mainly because she really doesn't acknowledge them. {She also seems to know where to go when at the groomers, last time I took her in after they got her and brought her back she jumped right up on one of the grooming tables, though she did end up falling because it was to high}

Thanks for answering!

Thanks Katydid!

Most of her neckware is from right after the groomers

Thanks DeeLind7!

Physically, she does seem to have more lab-or that's the most that shows.

Here are some videos of here too;

{^^^This is one of the few times she will bark, she doesn't do this anymore but when she did I would usually just tell her 'quiet' and she would stop barking. But I kind of wanted to get it on video so I didn't do it for this video- that is pretty much what her basic bark sounds like}

The videos are great! I like the one in the snow, but my favorite one is playtime with the Shih-tzu. I watched that one a couple of times. What a riot.

I see some brown lab there. But she isn't as 'pure bred' mix as Lucy

I'm sure she's not a chihuahua or collie but she is a very nice looking dog.
