just a few thoughts..
Yeah... Her face is pretty slim and she doesn't have quite as much muscle around her jaws as a full Staffy, but she does smile like one. Her snout is longer / pointier too, more like a Lab's when compared to a Staffy. The laws around here are so bad that I'd never admit the possiblitiy of any Staff, though... "vicious" dogs are judged by physical characteristic around here, not by behavior. Worse off is that the discription of a "vicious" dog is and Pit or mix of, or any dog with the physical characteristics of short hair, blocky head, and muscular build... ahhh hello that means a whole bunch of dogs coulds be deemed vicious...

Her ears are great. One folds to the front the other to the side....

Chilli is adorable. Hailey is like a petite version.

Hailey is as sweet as they come. She barks at people coming up to the house, but once they are inside and knows they are ok she simmers down real fast and just wants to be petted. The funny thing was she didn’t bark for the first 2 or 3 weeks we had her. I guess she had to build up some confidence. She gets nervous when the screaming kids at the park come running towards her but is ok once we reassure her, she barks at basketballs, and is ok around skateboards but she doesn’t like skateboard tricks… they usually set her off.

At first she was very nervous around my two (now three) nephews (.05, 3, 5 y/o) but once we sat them down and explained how to approach Hailey, and that she likes a little space… they get along great now! She absolutely loves my dad and he, her as well.

She is very timid around the garden hose, umbrellas, and raised voices. She came from our local shelter after humane agents seized her from an abusive and neglectful home.

I was going to say she looks like she has a bit of staffy in her. Especially in her avatar pic. She is a beautiful girl though whatever breed she is. She's really good a posing for the camera, Truffles just tries to eat ours!

I honestly can't see any staffy or pit mix in her. She just doesn't have the head or body shape. I would agree that there may be some sort of terrier in her liniage, but maybe a lighter boned one like border or fox. And maybe a pointer breed, too.

I don't know what type of dog she is, but the picture of her sitting pretty gave me a big smile! (waves) Hi, Hailey!

I don't see any pit.

There is something about the skull and eyes that make me want to say she's got some beagle.

my instincts are Staffy x Lab

all the staffy's I have met have been sweet soft dogs, that have enjoyed a cuddle.

Chillismom,
Her facial structure (size, shape, ear / eye) is exactly like the patterdale. She is just not as muscular.

??
