I can't post -- keep getting a Captcha that won't take - DogForum.net

I don't even know if this will go through, but I cannot reply to anyone's posts. I am not cussing or anything, lol. When I try to submit, I automatically get a Captcha to type in, but it won't accept it. I am absolutely sure I am typing the Captcha in correctly.

I'm sorry to hear this CrazyDogLady... I will inform our Tech Whiz, Chipp, of this issue. Just to be sure, you said you are typing the captcha in correctly--are you certain that you are typing it in the right place? I've made that error myself.

Me too - I mean typing them in the wrong place...

The captcha's are definitely annoying but we have less spam here than anywhere else so that's a good thing.

I found that if I used smilies or quoted others that I got more captchas than when I don't but I've not done a scientific analysis of it to prove my theory so who knows.

If you have trouble with the written ones' you can use an audio feature..maybe try that.

Hmm Not seen a audio alternative on here but I may be wrong! I do agree the amount of spam has ben cut right back. CrazyDoglady is your IP address a static one or a floating one? If it's the second one may be that's triggering the Capcha's as the system is trying to indentfy you but each time you are on here there's a different one logged. Just a thought! Good luck and I am sure Chipp will sort something out for you and KM Regarding KM's problem have you once you are on the post reply/quick reply screen try going 'Go Advanced' before typing your reply? For some reason I never get them on IE 5.01 or Android 4 so maybe try changing your browser settings to see if that helps!

This is why I prefer to use the quick Reply. When I start a new thread I almost always get one and when I get frustrated I type a short note.

I don't think the using of less smilies will make any difference but you could try either 'Quick' Reply or 'Advanced' Reply and see if that makes a difference
