Just a question on the main home page (discusions) and sub forum (discussions) when Iam using my older STB (Not the Wii) and you hovver over the thread/topic you are interested in you get a timed brief description of what the topic is about sub forum discussions don't do this is this because there are no tags on the subforum and no tags on the Wii which uses a better browser ( Opera 9 ) even on the home page I get no description. do only certain browsers use this feature? Thanks in advance ATB

This works for me using MSIE8, MSIE9, Mozilla, and Chrome. When I hover over the thread, the first n words of the first post appear for a few seconds. This is not the same as "tags" which show up in their own frame at the bottom of a thread page.

I get descriptions on sub-forums by hovering over the thread, just as on the home page.

I don't know enough about the Wii to say what is going on with your stuff. All I know is that the problem you describe isn't a problem for me in four different browsers on a laptop running Vista Ultimate SP2.

Tom My older STB uses Mozilla 4 (compatible with IE 5.01) and this works fine on all home page threads sub forum threads don't even work
on Mozilla 4. The Wii doesn't work on any! So I can only think that the Opera browser hasn't been included to show these descriptions. Sorry I called them tags but don't know what they would be called Is the forum a multi browser forum? ATB

The server side code is browser independent. The page templates are written to be as broadly compatible as possible. Opera has had a few more problems with incompatibility than some other browsers, and the problem with thread descriptions has come up in posts to the forum software site. There is no particular solution. It has to do, in part, with how Opera processes/interprets HTML, CSS, and php code.

The version of Mozilla I used is v5. Chrome was whatever version I downloaded, last month.

Mozilla 5 is out, and it is great. IE 9 is pure garbage in my opinion.
