Default Cursor hangs when posting a reply

Hi everyone! I have noticed sometimes when posting a reply after the clicking the button it won't activate and post the reply. I have to reboot! Sometimes I am lucky and the post is posted, can someone check as to why this happening? Also I have found sometimes I can't scroll down to the bottom of a thread I get so far down then I can't go any further. I have reported this in the past and it was fixed! But it's started up again.

This problem is still there and quite regular too! While the Post Quick Reply does seem to post the reply I get a bit worried as when clicked the cursor stays green. What should happen is the cursor is green then you click on post quick reply the cursor should go to red then green again then the posting process is complete! Whats happening is the cursor hangs and my replys don't appear to be posted so I have to switch off at the power switch on the back on the back of the STB, reboot and check to see if the post has been posted. So just wondering if there is a timing problem on the button or some corrupt code on this button? All other buttons work fine! . Like i say after rebooting the post(s) are usually posted, but I rather not have to reboot nearly ever time as the cursor is locked up and reboot is neccessary to continue doing anything. but it a long winded affair. Thanks in advance ATB

I would imagine that this is a problem with the server or your connection and not the button. I know you say the other buttons work fine, but the process of uploading data *to* a server is slightly different from the process of the server slapping a post onto your screen. I just know that on other boards I am on, the most failure ridden process is the posting process and that it can hang rather easily some days. do you frequent other boards with which you can compare this problem? Let's say, in the same time you are having trouble with the post reply, switch to a new tab for another board you frequent and see if it will quickly post there. Ideally, it would need to be another board using this same s/w.

I've not had any problems with posting here or that particular button. I do sometimes have trouble opening very long posts or posts laden with pictures - again a matter of major data transfer going on.

The fact that it cleared up quickly makes me again suspect not a flaw in the s/w per se (because no one could get in and make a s/w change that quickly) but a glitch in the data transfer somewhere - either their server or via your connection.
