Default What does Unique Rep mean?

I just noticed that there is 'Unique Rep' popped up against everyone's name....

What is it for as I don't have a clue!

Hi Mel
Can you bear with us as we need to find out - and the truth is that I haven't got the faintest idea!

I've also noticed that 4 of my Reps have been marked N/A though the number of actual rep points hasn't been reduced.

Carol, I have a suspicion what that might be but to confirm it please PM anyone on the mod team with details such as the time and date the rep post was given and the post it is associated with. We can most likely figure it out.

I can give the time and date, but not the post it was linked with as that's been removed.

Ah then I think I know what happened.
If a thread gets deleted and someone gave you a rep point for one of your posts in it before that happened, instead of the link back to the post in the left column, it says "N/A." In the right column is the comment, if the giver chose to say why or leave their name.
Even if the thread / post gets deleted, you still keep the rep point.

Hope that makes sense.

Is unique rep possibly the number of different people you have rep from?

Yes indeed that is what it is. For any of you who have sold on eBay you know that you have two different feedback counts, one is the total, and one is the number of individual buyers who have given you positive feedback.

It's similar here: there is a total number, which is the "rep" and actually since everyone starts off with 10, this number - 10 is the number of times you've been repped. The "unique rep" says how many individual mambers have repped you.

It makes perfect sense! You can disregard the Pm now.
