Default Interfering Ads

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can stop those interfering ads from flying all over the top of the screen on our computers?

It's downright irritating and causing vision problems for me.

I bought a new monitor from circuit city recently. I wouldn't have given them my business if these ads had been flying around then.

I won't go back as long as I have to put up with these obnoxious ads.

If you're using internet explorer as your browser I would change to something like Firefox. There's an add-on for this browser called Ad Block that allows you to set filters so you can block ads. When you have this installed you can right click on an ad and either block just that ad or block all ads from that site.
You can download firefox for free here:

Thanks bunnyphone but I'd prefer to find a way to stop them with IE. I'm not computer literate enough to tackle downloading a new browser.

On another site voices kept popping up and someone gave me the information to put a stop to that nonsense.

If I can't stop these from my end, I'll have to stop using this site due to the vision problems the ads are causing. I'd sure hate to have to do that!

We do not allow disruptive ads. If one snuck by our providers, please let us know the URL of the ad in question (what is the domain name that it clicks through to?) and we will block it right away.

Thanks very much!

This is the one that is making it very hard for US users these days:
http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/categ...keycode=964441
There is a graphic which blocks much of the screen and if you try to navigate anywhere, any click takes you to the external site and not to the desired page on dogforum.org.

Blocked! It should take a few hours to kick in. Please do let me know if you see any other troublesome ads.

We DO NOT accept them and have told our vendors such.

I just told my husband yesterday, that I will not buy any thing from circuit city because of their ads. If you can PLEASE put a stop to them. I am trying to make XP and this PC last another year.

I agree - very annoying I assume (I can't see them here in Canada - must be a US only campaign). I sent a nasty email to our provider of ads.
