Default Tech articles as stickies?

Ok I used tech articles because I couldn't think of a better term. Basicly what I mean is can there be certain articles pertaining to common health issues, training of all sorts, breed information and things like that? I would personally be happy to contibute to some articles about these subjects so that members would have to do less searching about issues and be able to go through the articles to find what they need. Before I post a question I allways do a search so that I'm not repeating the same questions over and over again that other members have had and I thought it might be usefull to have some articles about common subjects that are easier to access. No replies are needed to the articles and would have to be writen by the person posting it not by something that you found on the internet but something that this person learned by personal experiences. Does any of this make any sense? Sound like a good idea?

I think we already have that under FAQ. http://dogforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=26

Not sure, but I think you write the piece then submit it. If it's accepted, it will show up there permanently.

Looking forward to reading your articles!

I have never noticed that section! Thanks applesmom! It looks like it could use quite a few articles . I think that I will write something about luxating patellas but I will have to do a bit more research into other breeds that it is common with but with Chen I have personal experience with it. I would be nice if other members would contribute to this section, and maybe make it a bit more noticeable, not a techie really but add a faq button to the buttons on top? Choosing a breed would also be a good subject and if I don't get to it before someone else does have at it lol! Anyone else with health related issues that you can share information on?

The FAQ section is definitely the place for what you're proposing. I'm looking forward to seeing your submissions.

Me too! And I hear that the FAQ section is going to get re-formatted to make it easier to find what you're looking for.

I am working on the one about luxating patella's right now and doing a little more research into what breeds it is common with etc. I might not get it done for a week or more because things are hectic here right now, hubby just bought a race car (has first place wins at out local race track) and I wanted to be the one to build it back up, the engine is blown, so I'm going to be a bit busy but I promise that I will get that article done and start working on a few more as time allows.
