Default Sticky in Health?

Maybe we should have a sticky in health-sort of a catch-all disclaimer, we are not vets, in any urgent case you should refer to your own vet, and that any advice given you should research before actually using because no matter who posts it may not be correct?

I realize I posted something in a thread that I didn't completely explain, and had someone not messaged me it could of been taken differently.

Cool! Anyone else, any ideas? Of course someone with a better way of writing than me should type it.

I think this is an excellent idea. I wouldn't want someone to take my advice the wrong way and a terrible situation break out. The results could be ugly.

An excellent suggestion! Nothing can substitute for the medical expertise of a vet.

Any advice regarding health issues should be followed by the comment, "check with your vet first". But when the described symptoms sound like a minor problem, we don't always think of qualifying our answers as we should.

Good idea ... when a dog gets sick they have so many similar symptoms and try and tell an owner what we think it might be or how to handle it without being vets or seeing the dog isn't the way to help that dog get better.
