Red face Dog awareness area, for age 18+ members?

The answer might be no? However it would be good to bring dog awareness to the forum, its own area or something, maybe related things like that, This is an idea to consider, maybe? There should be an age set up where you have to be least 18 by your profiles birthday or however you set it to do that in forums least this way only older people of the right age can post and see them if they wish to, want to. Just thought I would throw it out there.

Thanks

Just saying having an area or a thread called dog awareness, there you can post stories, links or whatever on that subject, I said there could be a set age you have to be to get in, example your profile will say your birthday so thats a way to know or something. Sorry if it didnt come out right. Hhmm.

I'm not sure what you're getting at either.

Not trying to put a damper on your suggestion but don't think this would work as when I brought up the question of age I was told that a member can post any age they like so it would be difficult if not impossible for the mods and admin to overcome this. Jean/ Sandi/ Taeric correct me if I'm wrong please.

Borzoi Mad you are correct. The idea is nice, but really there is not a way to do it and be sure that only those who are 18 years old or over would see such a section. And we cannot reveal the ages of members younger than that either.

What would be the purpose in limiting any area to those over the age of 18?

I was on a chihuahua forum once that had a private folder for over 18.... I was appalled at what I seen. I am open minded and a true 70's child but I really do not want to go in to detail about what you are doing in your bedroom....
the folder was closed but one visit was enough for me. I expected a folder that would have let me be a little firmer in my viewpoints and not worry about using a cuss word or two. I sure had an eye opening experience!!!
