Default When do you switch to adult food?

Unfortunately i dont have the back of the bag of food anymore so i dont remember what they suggested, but generally speaking, when should a puppy be switched to adult food? is it after they reach their full size?

this is for a 5month old german shepherd

thanks

My dogs never were on puppy food and grew to be normal size and weight for their respective breed.
Usually, depending on the breed, you can start changing around 10 to 12 mths.

I would say for a bigger breed like a shepherd around the 9 months, but Sheplovr on here would be the best person to advise you as she breeds shepherds.

I was always told if you feed a high quality food you never have to feed a puppy. With giant breeds you want to promote slow growth.
