Default Puppy Food Switch Over

Our pup hardy is still on the same brand of kibble he was started on. Vet brand Medi-cal. I was told by the breeder to feed him a couple of handfuls 3 times a day, and to ignore the directions on the side of the bag. This seems to work well. I have hear from numerous sources that the bag info tends to be false on foods.

I figure before I make the switch I'll check with the knowledge base here.

Hardy a 10wk old Shepherd Rotti X Aprox 13lbs (squirming bathroom Scale measurement)

Good brands of puppy food for these large breads?

To educate my self, good nutritional content to look for in foods, pros/cons etc.?

Any online charts, graphs or personal recommendations that you feel are more Accurate than whats on the bag?

Anything I may be over looking

Thanks again

Vagreys has a wonderful thread on how to grade your dog foods & there is a separate discussion on another thread:

I agree with Katz... Try vagrey's system.

I know my breath smells like peanut butter. Enticing, isn't it?

Adopting just one Greyhound may not change the world... But I'm certain the world will change for that one Greyhound.
