Ok some of yall know I'm getting my little Basil soon, but I was wanting her to sleep with me in the bed, but OF COURSE not the 1st or 2nd week, there's 1 word 4 that mistake, POTTY ..................... So how old was your pup when they started sleeping with u, I'm not a friendly sleeper, "believe me lol" so I would also be scared 2 squish my little baby, so thoughts, ideas, opinions any 1?

Our previous pups all slept in the bed from day 1. They cried when they needed to go during the night, and one of us would get up to take them out. All 3 pups we've had were house-trained within a couple weeks.

However, since I now have my felines who sleep in bed with me, my up-coming pup will be crate trained. His crate will be near my bed.

Not all dogs do well being allowed to sleep with their owners though. We never had problems, even with 2 intact males at the same time. However, there's a theory that "Alpha" dogs allowed to sleep on the bed will view owners as littermates instead of pack-leaders which causes dominance issues.

Yes i have read about that. When you 1st allow your pup to sleep with you, he or she gets confused because since its YOUR house and he or she thinks YOUR the "master" they think they've "moved up" in the pack, but I mean most people do let thier pups sleep with them, so I dont think this will be a big issue, but if I see it coming, I'll just correct her, I still dont know how I'm sopposed to do the potty thing

Plz keep replying
