Default Male or Female? Poll

Hello ya'll, I was wondering something, which do u prefer, I guess this is kinda like a poll. So which gender, {of dog of course}lol do u prefer?

I guess i'll start off by saying with dogs in general, I dont really care, I'll take either, both, whatever! But when it comes to shelties, I dont really know, I've only had males, and Basil will be my 1st female so...

In yalls fav. breed, which do u prefer?

Thnx love to hear your replies

Wink

I have only had males, and loved all my boys Seriously though, I prefer larger dogs and males are normally larger. I also prefer coated breeds, and males usually have better coats. There is also a tendancy for a more out-going personality in male Springers & Silken Windhounds.

I have both males and females and though I dearly love them all, in future I will only have males. Primarily because they don't come into season . I lost one little bitch with Pyometra and my old girl took it a couple of months ago she is 11 and had to have a hysterectomy and it was touch and go for a while but fotunately she is okay now. In my experience bitches are very hormonal and can have a change in temperament either leading up to, during, or at the end of a season. This is only my opinion.

i have both sexes. I must admit the boys are much more faithful and loyal. As Borzoi mad says bitches can change temperment wise. Right now i have one having a phanthom pregnancy and boy is she ratty.

Now im informed, well I'll be getting my little Basil in a couple of weeks {of course female} but we only picked female because we only have had male shelties and we wanted to see what it was like to have a female sheltie Well, will they still go through those problems even if they r spayed?

No!! I dont want that 2 happen to her

if you have your bitch spayed this will prevent the pyometra.

Does take a while for the hormones to settle after a spay, but in time there are no problems
