Default Dogsitting- what about our puppy?

hey, When my puppy is over 8 weeks old we are supposed to be looking after a family members dog. We know hes healthy and fine with other dogs, we will always be with them, never leaving them on their own but will my puppy be ok? i know he wont have had his last set of jabs by then, assuming that he gets the last ones at 8-10 weeks. Our puppy is a labrador and the family members dog is a little 9 year old westie. Thankyou guys! Jen

Providing the adult dog has been vaccinated and is healthy your puppy will be fine. In fact, it will be a wonderful opportunity to get in a bit of early socialisation with his own kind (albeit under supervision).

Yes! Pup should be fine & will have a great time. I'd ask your family not to take their Westie around other dogs just prior to coming to visit if at all possible but there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

thanks again helpful as always. They'll defiantly be under supervision all the time. The westie can get a little excited around other dogs, acts a bit like an energetic puppy so i'm sure they'll have a great time! thankyou, Jen

Think this is just typical terrier behaviour Lol. Hope they both enjoy being together . Lots of pics please. Can't add anything to what the others have said. Enjoy sure it will do your puppy good to have company.
