Unhappy I'm looking for a sister

A few weeks ago, my brother, Jack, died suddenly and I'm lonely.

My mum and dad are looking for a female miniature yorkie to keep me company. She will be purely kept as a family pet for me to play with, so doesn't have to be from good breeding stock, but she does have to be a miniature as I'm very small and anything else might grow up to be a big girl and too boisterous for me to play with.

Does anyone out there know of a breeder in the Ormskirk/Preston/Liverpool/Skelmesrsdale/Souhport area and how much they will have to pay, so that they can save up?

Thanks

Daisy.

Awww! I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am not much help tho. Sorry, but I do hope you can get one soon! Maybe a rescue will be good? Cause there are many many dogs out there waiting for a loving home, and may never have one.

If rescue doesn't suit you, please *do* look into puppies from very good breeders only. Yorkies can have congenital disorders that will shorten their lives considerably, be fatal, or require expensive surgeries.

My inlaws have a Yorkie who required $5000 worth of surgeries and vet bills within the first 2 years, after having paid $2000 for him. They had become very attached to him before they found out he had very bad hip problems. Please beware, and look for health guarantees. Trying to find a "mini" Yorkie might be a bad idea, as the very tiny ones can be terribly fragile and sometimes unhealthy. Good luck.

I'm sorry for your loss.
But I agree with lester. do look for good breeding stock, dont just buy from a pet store or a byb. As int he long run your new little friend may not even live long due to improper breeding.

I too am so sorry for your loss. A dog will certainly help you, they are a comfort not only during times of sorrow, and better than a tranquilizer in times of stress. Good luck. And let us have some pictures when you get your new friend.

Oh gracious Daisy, I am so sorry to hear that your brother died. I am not familiar with possiblities to adopt dogs in the UK. Jake PMd me something once about the dogs trust, but I know so little about it. Where are our friends in the UK, maybe some of you can help this poster find a small doggy?
