I think the above is so true. Having raised a litter of puppies "given to us" by a stray. The stray stayed around until the pups were about 10 weeks old and she felt like we were going to take care of her babies. It was quite interesting watching the pups growing up and learning from their mom and each other. They did sometimes get quite rough with each other, but not dangerously so. Your pup seems to be going through this stage with you as he doesn't have his litter mates. You do have to teach him that he can't be rough with you, but I don't think he's being aggressive, he's just being a young puppy.

The pup has had no 'telling off' as he has had no litter mates or mum to correct him, so it's got out of control and must be nipped in the bud

Thank you all for your advice, i feel great guys that you support me and the other members, unfortunately in my place people and even vets dont have the same interest and knowledge. big boy i think we getting better with the biting thing and growling, its clear now that he wants just to play and sometimes demands our attention. i hadnt mention that our house has stairs and up stairs is our bedroom and the room we work. so a week now he is able to climb the stairs on his own and can follow us if he want up stairs... i think that this make him more relax... but he needs more he is still hyper sometimes but not in the same way and not so often..he cools more easilly now i think.!

So long as you have things in place to calm him down like the ignoring when he nips or growls at you then he will soon realise that this behaviour will get him no where he will soon get bored with his old behaviour Sounds like these changes are begining to take place already! Keep up the good work! Thanks for the update!!!

He's def being a puppy but that don't mean you can allow him this..
I would recommend to sign up for a puppy class with a Petco or Petsmart (positive reinforcement) that way he can get to play with other puppies, be put on appropriate time outs when too rough etc.. So you will get the right tools to correct him with and learn how to redirect him.. Petco 6 weeks is only 120 bucks.. It's really worth it...

Whoops... LOL sorry... Yeah and Greece has a huge overpopulation on doggies that's for sure... Ok So when the puppy get mouthy, you should yelp, cross your arms and walk away.. NO MORE ATTENTION.. So when puppy is too rough the punishment is that he don't get to play with you no more..

You can also redirect him to a suitable toy, so if he chews on you say ah ah, and give him a toy and praise him for utilizing the toy..

He will also soon start loosing his puppy teeth, make sure you have TONS AND TONS of chew toys.. He's gonna need it.. He willbe even WORSE then...

Look on youtube.. Kikopup is a channel that has really good videos on how to train your puppy and what to reward.. That way you can at least get some teaching on how to handle the pup.. The most important age to train him is now.. between 8 and 16 weeks the mind is the most receptive.. So bring him out, socialize, do obedience, sit down and MOST IMPORTANT COME.. Bring him around babies, small animals, so he knows how to behave around them..

In about 4 weeks he will have a surge of hormones, they wil often try to growl and guard the food bowl and such.. So I want you to start workng with that now.. I want you to walk by him when you feed him and drop a treat in his food bowl while he's eating.. It need to be a good treat.. like a piece of chicken hot dog etc.. That way you may never get the issue at all in 4 weeks...

Good luck!!

Will Add Introduce N.I.L.I.F to his routine including his eating routine I did this with Nipper and she will let me add food or remove food (if needed) with out any aggression whatsoever I even stir the kibble with my fingers and she was watching me I still do it now from time to time but always make her wait then I cue her to eat I try and make it fun too plus it keeps her mind active too Search for N.I.L.I.F on this forum using the search box at the top right of most pages!! Good luck
