Default My dogs 1st litter

Hi, my dog delivered 6 puppies 2 days ago and is doing brilliantly for a first time mum. Today I have noticed that one of her teats has a bright red blister on it which looks quite sore but she doesn't seem to bother even when the pups are suckling from it. Is there anything I can do to treat this or should I just leave her alone???

Have you spoken to her vet about the possibility of mastitis?

I think I'd call your vet to make sure she is ok. And I'm with techie, where are the pictures?

Yeah, definitely a vet visit for me as well. Mastitis csn kill puppies, a breeder friend of mine had a corgi female with it & all but one of the pups ended up dying .
