Default Feeding Schedule

I was wondering what others have done in respect to switching 3 feedings to 2.
At what age did you switch feedings to just 2 servings per day?

We break puppies' food into multiple feedings for a couple of reasons: 1) because of the quantity of food they have to eat to get the energy and nutrition they need during the peak growth months - their tummies just don't have the capacity otherwise, and 2) to help keep their energy levels constant throughout the day. Once they are past peak growth, they no longer need as much food and their energy demand isn't as constant. Many pups are on 2 feedings by 6 months, and though it isn't ideal, they seem to do fine. The ideal is to wait until after peak growth to cut back to 2 feedings. Toy and small breeds that get most of their adult size by 6 months can be on 2 feedings at 6 months. Medium breeds are in peak growth at 5-6 months, so 2 feedings is ok by 7-8 months. Large and giant breeds that are on controlled growth can handle the quantity of food, but need the constant energy longer; their peak growth is 5-7 months or longer, so switching to 2 feedings should wait until 8-10 months, ideally.
