at 3 months its not a hormone thing its probably just a dominant thing, he wants to be dominant over something so he is chosing his toys. if you get him nuetered it may help, but it may not. if you got him from a breeder, you may want to ask them if he was the runt or the biggest pup, those are the 2 of a litter that usually show these behaviors. i know that last foster puppy we had (jack russel mix) liked to hump the large stuffed animals that my kids have, and he was only 9-12 weeks old, i stopped the behavior by taking them away and putting them out of reach so he didnt have the temptation of doing it anymore.

Default re humping

I got him directly from the breeder and he was the fattest pup and the most playful out of all of them. I believe he is too young to get nuetered, and currently only one testile has fallen, the vet said we should check at 6 mons and then again at a year.
So basically I should just learn to live with it.

I would redirect his attention. Remove the offending toy and perhaps offer a tug toy or throw a ball for him. Alternatively if he needs to calm down and has become over excited you could show him a food treat, call him away from the object and ask him to perform a couple of sit and down exercises before rewarding with the treat.

Our Basenji pup Bandit is 4 1/2 mths old and tries to hump our 2yr old Lowchen boy Alfie trying to dominate him. Alfie gets annoyed and lets out a little growl in his direction, we gently cup Bandit's face and look him in the eye and say a firm NO! Bandit is left standing there peering underneath not able to sit or walk properly. Hopefully in a month's time when we have Bandit neutered, this will stop.
All the best with it.....
