Default Digging up holes

Can anyone explain to me why my 5 month old puppy digs up holes in the ground? It's getting really annoying and I would like to know if there's any methods to stop this behavior. We play with her all the time and she gets walks everyday, basically what I'm trying to say is we do everything we should. Thanks for any help.

What I personally do and works in little bit of time is put some dog poo in the hole and cover lightly with soil. Do this to every hole and of course if u catch her/him digging run over and say a louder NO NO more of this. It is a boredom thing, mine have tried it and I stop them immediately as our grass if so gorgous I do not want dog holes dug for no good reason. Good luck honey and it will quit if u save some poo and put in it the pet will not like digging up poop anymore.

My dog did this until she was about one year old when she stopped, we filled the holes in and soswed grass. Now it looks fine.
