Default Is it anything to worry about my puppies ears do not fold down?

Hi I have a 13 wk old westie puppy. Have been reading through some posts and they mention ear folding. My puppies ears are constantly up and never fold down. Have been to the vet a few times and he hasn't mentioned anything. Should I be worried? Most Westie puppies I have seen the ears fold over. Thanks

I thought Westies are supposed to have erect ears!

I think their ears are meant to be erect. If u google westies most of the images u get back have erect ears, but some arent.....

I like the erect ears personally just my 2.....

Yes definitely westies are meant to have erect ears and at such a young age he has them what a little stunner, ours always took forever to stand up and then we always had the one ear up and one down stage for ages which was I must say quite cute

So dont worry its normal for a westie

Yes their little ears should stand up so do worry. The little westie next door to me has one up and one fold and he's getting to be nearly 3. Just wanted to say i love your aviator your pup is a real little sweety.

I am sure I answered this same question once, the ears will be ok, do not tape them. It only adds to problems. I have done it to two dogs and it worked because the ears had been up to begin with. Your pups ears will go up as should be, be patient.

Thank you. Sorry it has taken so long to say thanks but Toby hasn't been very well so haven't been online this week. I mentioned it to the vet today and she said he was fine the way he was
