Whats ear tapping? You should love your dog the way he is.
No reason to change him, if it isnt a health concern and its only just for looks.

Its good your getting advice from a forum full of dog lovers.
It truely comes down to what you want, dont let others tell you.
If your happy with your dog, dont care how his ear is, then dont do it.

Why would you tape it down? I am confused, I raise German Shepherds, I have once in while taped one ear to make it stronger while teething age, but not down. Please explain and what breed is this you want to tape?

well i was told to tape the ears down of the american staffy completely different dog , im not fussed either way anyway, aslong as it wasnt a health issue it had to be done which clearly it isnt its just to make ur dog look alot better. so there not much point going into it anyway.

I am confused as to why down than up or keeping the ear up? If it is floppy, I would think of taping it with tape to get the cartledge strong enough it stands then. I used duck tape on one female for a few days and hers went right up. Are the ears cropped like a Boxers are? They are taped to stand up I had one of those years back. Maybe this breed is very different, but for it to look proper maybe somebody here has one and can advise better than I as I only know Shepherds and have had a Boxer and other breeds, none with ears cut though. Hope somebody can help you with the same breed so it is done right.

well i was told is that his ears should be sitting at what the call a rose prick ? or somthing like that ummm much like my other pup lyla whos ears are what they are ment to be, Not sticking straight up, where as one of his ears do. it adds character to him i think lol

i only ask all this cause i wasnt sure if it was somthing that HAD to be done, due to health reasons, if this is not the case then im not fussed haha

Then you can relax. It doesn't need to be done for health reason.
