Talking Desperate for NAID or Sibercaan

Iv been looking online recently for hypoallergenic dogs, i found the most beautiful one i have ever seen.
Two types a sibercaan which is a hybrid and the NAID(native american indian dog)

But as i live the the UK do oyu recon it would be hard to find a breeder here or would i have to fly to the US to be able to get the type of puppy i want.#

Is not often i find a beautiful dog like this tha wont affect my health and im prety much obsessed with finding a close breeder.

any INFO would help majorly, or links and stuff would be really helpul.

cheers

I would look more for a adult dog, one that you can spend time with and know that it won't upset your allergies but there is no real hypoallergenic dog, but I have never heard of this type so I am looking them up so I don't know whether you would be able to get them in the UK.

Native American Indian Dog
This site looks quite good

http://bbindiandogs.com/faq.aspx#whatkind

I can't find anything about them in the UK, but I do wish you good luck in your search for your dog

The sibercaan I am finding hard to find info on, you would be best looking at people who breed the canaan dog and the siberian huskies, as they will draw things from both parents, and see what you think of them

I like this site though, where it talks about both breeds in it

"Siberian Huskies seldom bark"??? Uhhhh.... errr..... ok. I uhhh, yeah, that's not a website I trust at all. My brother has over twenty Sib's for sledding and they bark exhuberantly for hours at the slightest disturbance. Besides, their coat blows are like an explosion of fur. I highly doubt they'd hypoallergenic with Sib in the mix. Hybrids are always a roll of the dice, you will never know what you are going to get.

Hi HuskyLoved. I don't like being a wet blanket, but I think I would be cautious in searching for a Native American Indian Dog. This is not an accepted breed and it appears that there is a fair amount of controversy surrounding it.
Starting about halfway down this page http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/nativeamericanindiandog.htm
is information suggesting that there is an extremely limited genepool and that someone has put a registered trademark on the name.
I'm sure there are ways to find other lovely breeds that will fit your needs. Good luck to you.

Thank you all so much for your input.
It is extremely helpful, i must admit i only found out abouthe breeds two-three days ago and havent found much on them.
I know i should be able to find a canaan dog here in the UK but i need something that will not affect my asthma.
Obviously huskies are out of the question but are my one true love and i would love to find a dog that hasthatsame look, as im not fond of the poodle or afgan hounds.
I will keep looking and i will hope for the best on the breeds but alot of research is to be done i recon. =D

Maybe you could comprimise on the poodles, there was a link about them being sled dogs, if you get one, at least you know that they can do the same job lol.

They're just another overpriced designer dog!
Look at the dogs on that website. They don't even look alike.

That site claims that the desire of the canaan dog to remain close to it's owners will override the independence of the sibe.

There isn't any way to legitimately predict which of the characteristics the puppies of such a cross will inherit. A result of the cross could just as easily produce pups with the sibe's independence and desire to run! A hypoallergenic dog with a heavy undercoat? Yeah right!

No known health problems in these dogs? Of course there aren't any KNOWN health problems. They haven't even bothered to test for them!

Please don't be taken in by these designer breeders. If you want a mixed breed, get one from a shelter. Don't be fooled into paying over a thousand dollars for something you could get for under a hundred dollars at a shelter.

If you decide on a purebred, search for an ethical breeder that health tests their dogs and doesn't make false claims just to sell puppies.

allergies/asthma is caused by different things, it can be the eggwhite in the saliva, it can be the dander, the mites in the dander, you need to know WHAT in a dog you are sensitive towards, there might not be ANY dog that fits you. Meanwhile I have other friends who workes great with dogs as long as the dog don't lick them, or if they have petted the dog that they do not touch their own face...

so before even thinking about a dog, find out WHAT you react to, then you can choose..

and hypoallergenic is a fad, such dog's don't exist.. some people respond well to poodles and bichons cause they don't shed and I think that meant minimum of dander hence so little people don't react but it depends on the person.. but that has helped create this fad, don't fall for it.. chances are you get a dog, you fall in love and then you get really sick and maybe even die..

find out what you react to prior and THEN try with different dogs..

I have noticed that people that gets itchy respond more to my short haired dogs than long and fluffy ones for example, why I don't know..

Good luck!!
