I don't know much about breeding but I would have thought that at 15 months she is far to young to be bred from. Have you had her health tested to see if there are any inherited diseases that she can pass on to the pups, do you have enough money put by just in case she needs a c section. If you can't find homes for all the pups are you prepared to keep them, if an owner of one of your dogs pups has to re-home it are you prepared to take it back.
There's loads of things you need to think about before you go ahead and let her have a litter, I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable people on here will be along with better answers than mine.

Firstly she is to young.. at 15 mths old she is still very immature... any Boxer breeder would not contemplate breeder till the bitch is at least 2yrs old.

Second, have you had the relevant health test done..heart scoring... this is going to cost you around 150 upwards.. and no Boxer should be considered breeding material unless the have a good score.

Thirdly..why do you wish to breed her.. have you a stud in mind, is she a good example of the breed, is her temperament sound, what colour is she..

Have you the time to take off work to look after a bitch in whelp along with the 8wks after she gives birth..

Have the the money that wil be needed to cover all eventualities that may occur when breeding.

Have you homed for pups, Boxers can have up to 11 pups..... can you find forever homes for such a large litter.

Have the the facilities to take back any of the pups at any time in their life if the owners find themselves unable to keep them.

The fact she is KC registered does not give a licence to breed , do you show , did she come from showing lines.

Boxers are on of the most overpopulated breeds in the country... take ea look at the Boxer rescue to see how many are in need of homes, are you willing to take the risk to add to this problem.... in today's climate, even the professional ethical breeders of all breeds are thinking twice before breeding.

I know of two show breeders who have ben left with pups, one has 6 pups left from a litter (al are 15 wks old) an other has 3 , 9 wk old pups left... I also have a friend who has kept 2 Vizsla pups from her last litter as she could not find the right homes for them.

They are all lucky they have the facilities to keep these dogs... do you??

Not to mention the risk of you loosing your bitch in whelp.... not all whelps go well, and sadly Boxers are a breed who seem to throw problems in birth... have you the experience to see any problems before it is to late, have you a mentor who can be with you through her whelp.

All the above need a answer of YES from you..to even consider thinking of breeding your girl.

The most important question though it , why you want to breed her.

Then you also need a list of people you have interviewed for one of your pups, my Sandy had 8 puppies 3 weeks ago all have homes to go to dispite the fact we didnt dock this year, all booked with tails, were in ni were its still legal to dock, despite that they were booked for keeping tails some thing we are trying to encourage.
They all need to have homes can you afford to feed as was said by boxerpups 6 14 week old pups as well as your momma, please look into this very carefully before you breed your bitch.

Goodluck.

I agree totally with boxerpups & zoeybeau1. As well as what they've said a responsible breeder will put the time in & start to train the pups in housebreaking, sit, down, come etc. There's also the socialisation. Are you prepared to have them in the house with you so they will get used to the noise of a busy household. Introduce them to all manner of ppl & children?
