Default Impossible Breed Mix

I am new here so Hello!
We just got a new pup 3 weeks ago.
The mix is 3/4 Lhasa Apso X 1/4 Chow...now how we get this:
We have to go back to the Paternal Grandmother...She was Chow Chow mated with Lhasa Apso...had puppies most of which were about half the size of a normal Chow.
Now we have mom and dad of our new puppy:
-Dad 50% Chow - 50% Lhasa. Approx 15inches and 25-30lbs (as per vet)
-Mom 100% Lhasa. approx 11-12 inches and 15-20lbs...she seems a bit on the big side perhaps a bit over weight...
I met the mother she looks full lhasa...but a bit heavy.

I think this makes my new baby 3/4 lhasa & 1/4 chow...anyway mom had hard time carrying and delivering...actually had C-section, as percaution so did not go into labor on her own.

I have been told this is an impossible mix cause the size difference but I met mom and I believe the vet is telling me the truth to the best of her knowledge.
Now my baby looks like Lhasa but he is huge! giant feet and just big...he is only 14weeks and weights approx 11lbs. I don't think he is going to get too tall cause his legs are sooo short!!! But his bones are very heavy. My Vet said she was surprised that his bones felt so heavy she compared to him like a basset hound...lol
Anyway anyone have any thoughts on this? LIke the eventual size he might be?

Thanks,
T

A little dog will go to any lengths possible to mount a big dog, where there is a will theres a way and all that, I don't think that there will be many impossible mixes, as some bitches are really desperatate when they are in heat, and so are the males, so if thats the only male around she will let him mount her, females have been known to back up to something like a couch, or even lay down so that a male can get to her

Nothing is impossible in the world of the dog they dont know about sizes and such a little dog will presume he is just as big as the big dog i once had a great Dane that was mated by my Chihuahua the puppy died inside my bitch who was spayed when the dead pup was removed the vet thought it was hilarious that the only boy about that could of mated her was a little chihuahua but they did it i think he must of climbed in while she was asleep she probably never even noticed

Hi JEMS and welcome to the forum.
At 14 weeks and 11 lbs I would expect the adult weight to be about 35 lbs. A rule of thumb that seems to work is to double the weight at 4 months, this gets you pretty close to the adult weight.
