Default Male & female puppies

I have a 6 mth old female, and an almost 4 mth old male. The only vet around our way is either 6 hrs away, or the circuit vet (who travels this way every 6 wks or so). He won't be up this way until the end of next month (we had parent issues so weren't able to deal with it this month), and I'm wondering:

Is there a danger of her getting pregnant this early? From a male who's so young? I'm guessing, no, but I'd like to hear from you guys.

Secondly, will she start spotting now? Is there anything I can do to lessen that until we get her to the vet? Something between locking her away and her leaving blood drops all over the house?

And, yes, this is my first female so I'm learning.
btw - she humps the boy a LOT. Is that normal?

Thanks,

JohnC

Females can come into heat at 6 months old, Gillion my girl did, she was the only one as most wait till near a year or so. A male can breed very young also, so just keep them seperate until you get them fixed if your waiting for a vet to come. Dogs are surprising all the time, she is kicking in hormones now humping a male, yes they do this and other females also.

Never trust a girl and boy together if you do not want a problem so young.

Yes, Yes, Yes... males as young a 4/5 mths can sire pups, and if she is having a season now... it is imperative you keep him away from her.

Pants are a good idea, but , if he and she are determined , ... it wont stop them, the only sure way is to make sure they have no any contact all all.

A very experienced friend of mine made this fatal mistake. with her 4/12 mth old pup... even with her experience, he nabbed the bitch resulting in pups.

I've seen female pups bred at 5 months before. In this case - the people had brother/sister - vet wouldn't fix them until 6 months & she was pregnant by then.
