Default New puppy

Well hello everyone. My name is Leland and I picked up a new puppy a few days ago and like I'm sure a lot of people ask, I am going to ask as well if any one could help guess on the breed. The lady I got him from said he was a German shepherd but he might be part, but I'm really doubting hes pure breed. So I was wondering if any one could give me their opinion thanks.

He is 9 weeks old supposedly in the pictures. Thanks in advance.

I agree with the above although there are many possibilities. Those are 2 popular breeds.

Not sure if this matters/helps but he has a really short tail that curls to his back.

If its a curly tail there could be some Akita, but I cant see it. I dont know what he is, but he is beautiful!

My next door neighbours rotties tail curls up but is long, but your dog could have any spitz type of dog in it with a short curly tail.

That was my guess. Here's a couple of pics of 6 w/o pure bred rotty pups.

Hi Leland and welcome to the forum. He is adorable but I don't think he is a purebred. The giveaway to me is the white spot. Often when two breeds are mixed you'll get a white post on the chest like this little guy has. Does he have a name yet?

Yeah I was wondering about the white as well. Ended up naming him hopper, because he sometimes will hop when running or walking. That and its the only thing I could think of.
