Default Are puppies supposed to exhaust you like this?

I am getting low on fuel............phew! Boy this puppy is really taking it out of me............. I knew it would be lots of work, but wow......it seems I put so much into this.......How much is too much? I am getting worn out. I don't want that to happen. This is supposed to be fun right?

Lol
Havin fun with your fellow puppy friend? Lol
When I got Tyson he wore me out! Maybe 2 walks a day for 5 minutes, playing tug-a-war with lady and me- (it was 3 way lol)
And he ate and drank then stayed in all day and slept on my pillow.... he wore me out big time but since hes older he finds things like running round with his toy interesting and fun, lol
Lady plays with him most of the day so less work for me. but i would have to say- yup, your suppose to be worn out.=)

They are tiring but maybe try toys like 'Kongs' which are designed to keep them amused attempting to get the treats out, worked a treat on Bonnie this morning!

Thanks......

Well let me tell you about my day.

I take the pup out to play about 4 times a day. I spend about 1/2 hour with him outside. I try to play games with him too. I take him for 2 walks a day, Morning and night. I also play with him and discipline him all day long........

Thanks for letting me vent and complain!

This is why I suggest getting two having a buddy to play with and u just kinda stand over them and let them play and u supervise any roughness. Two to me is easier than one any day. Your to enjoy your puppy, exercise daily, feeding, brushing then a rest for both lol

I would advocate having two dogs, always had until we rescued Jake 3 1/2 months ago. As soon as he settles down we'll get him a friend.

I wouldn't advocate having two puppy's but a pup and a dog works out great. The dog wears out the pup and the pup wear out the dog and all you really have to worry about is potty breaks lol

You are right Fehu - but i had two puppies once and they were like two fuzzballs rolling around everywhere - but they were good fun! It did take longer to potty train them though!

Did I mention that puppies keep you young? And the dog owners are healthier than non-dog-owners because of how the doggies make us getup off the couch?
Keep smiling!!!

You're absolutely right! I am keeping that thought foremost in my thoughts.
