Default Puppy toilet training help

First of all im sorry if someone else has asked the same question, but i cant find an answer and am stuck. I have a 3 month old english bulldog, and while we have got him to only defecate in the garden on the grass, for some reason he will wee wherever he feels. we are crate training him, and have been trying to stop him when we see him wee inside and then take him out to praise him if he dose it outside, problem is he dosnt. he will just stop when we stop him. the crazy thing is he will run outside to defecate, we will stay out with him for a few mins so he can wee. but he just waits and then will go inside. dos anyone have any ideas ? please help. thanks so much

might be that the carpet is softer than the grass, do you have hard grass? it can also be he might have a UTI and peeing outside is more painfull cause of the chill than inside. Just a thought..

Oh and welcome to the forum and please post some photos!! I love english bulldogs!!

thanks so much for the welcome and the reply. we actually have a wooden floor. so the grass should be softer. as for the uti, i have read that bulldogs are prone to them. he has an appointment at the vets on tuesday, so will ask just incese.

Hi mimph and welcome to the forum.
Drumen is a very cute doggy!
Looking at the picture I would have guessed he was much younger than 3 months. Anyway, getting the vet to have a look is a good diea, especially since he does seem to be able to control his bowel movements.
Hope you get it sorted out!
