Default Time for our final addition

We're very happy with Kender's training and have decided its the right time to get her a sister to complete our family of 4. 2 dogs is what we have wanted and we wanted them to spread apart enough that the older could help teach the younger but not feel like she's being replaced so now that kender is 6 months old (we were gonna wait until 7 months but now that we have the acre of yard we thought 6 was a good number,) i started looking for a pup and I've found her.

She's 4 months old already so she's not tiny like kender was when we first got her, she's a blue merle mini aussie (not a toy) with 2 blue eyes, she has tan coloring on the face just like kender does and her eyes are lined with black making her look like she has makeup on. She'll be arriving via airplane on Wednesday and we're really excited. The breeders say she's a wrestler, she bests her brothers all the time in the yard.

I found her on puppyfinder, I know some of you are like "hssss evil girl," but hey, I'm giving her a forever home she deserves, whether I buy her or rescue her. =) Here are some pics of her from a month ago and I'll post some new pics when we get her home!

And heres one from a month before that in August~

We're excited for kender to have a new playmate and to have two furbabies romping around the house from now on

<3,
Kender&fam

Wonderful news! Congratulations! What an adorable little babe. Can't wait to hear all about her once she arrives.

I wouldn't say evil girl, but not the best choice in breeder. By buying from BYB's, you are continuing the cycle of careless breeding and giving them incentive to keep breeding without concern for health, temperament, or structural soundness.
What if there was no one to buy this pup and the breeder is instead forced to surrender those puppies to a rescue? This would mean they lose money because they don't sell the puppies and they would be less likely to breed again in the future. When you then adopt the puppy from the rescue, your money goes toward helping other dogs in need, instead of continuing the cycle.

ugh nevermind, not worth the drama. thanks for the info -- i needed the education. But just for your info since I guess I need to educate as well, not all breeders on these sites are BYB's, in fact the breeder I found for my girl is highly recommended and reputable. Thanks!

and thanks guys, I can't wait for her to get here and see how well she gets on with the kender~ Kender needs a sister to play in the new big backyard with, she's wearing me out with all the fetch and herding she wants to do all day and night

*Bow's Down*
I could never have two puppies at once. I pull my hair out with the 3 adults I have now.

While I honestly don't like the sound of the breeder. She is a cutie, and I wish you the best with her.

Well that is news to me.
I am sure not all of them are the worst examples, but I have yet to find anything but a BYB on that site. Besides, reputable breeders would never advertise on a site like that - they wouldn't need to.
Sadly, there are pages of Aussie breeders on there, NONE of them list anything about genetic health testing or anything else that a responsible breeder with any care for the future of the breed would be doing. I am not trying to start any drama - you have made your choice and I can only hope
that you have a healthy puppy on your hands to come. Good luck with your pup.

Perhaps this thread will help others avoid places like puppyfind in the future.
