Default No Time for Posting with New Pup

Now I'm beginning to understand that people who have time to sit and post multiple questions about their new pup's behavior problems must not be spending enough time with their pup! I don't have TIME to post practically ANYTHING since I got Asher. He takes up so much time - socializing, training, watching to keep him out of trouble. He's asleep now (finally) or I wouldn't be posting now either.

I don't think people reaize how much time a pup should require and most don't give the pups the time they need to grow into well adjusted adults. It's hard, hard work! I've spent about three to four hours today (so far) JUST on the pup.

So, if you don't see me as much posting, you know where I am!

I will be doing agility with him. He has very strong agility lines (grandsire was on the World Team and sire was on the World Team). We'll start the flat work soon. I won't put him in poles or on contact equipment (or jumps) until his growth plates close. But, there's tons of flatwork to do before then anyway, also including all the basic obedience. I had him out at the agility field today, and he ran through the tunnel after the other dogs. After just a few minutes, he was blasting through the tunnel on command (and on his own). He loved it! So cute in a 10 week old pup, too!

*Giggles* When I got Shippo, I had almost zero free time for computer stuff for the first 4-5 months! The first week nearly killed me, I was so overwhelmed. I actually cried once and had a "What have I gotten myself into?!" moment.

But now I see how worth it all that work (and the suffering of my social life for just a while) was worth it, because Shippo is a well behaved dog. >^^;<

Congrats! I am jealous of all the agility fun you're having already!

Yes please! and i was one of those people posting quite a bit asking questions -- but i defintely spent enough time with kender and still do, i always have computers around me though, living room, kitchen, bedroom and a post to ask a question doesn't really take but a second. =)

We're not all bad puppy parents

I know. Asher is resting now, so I have a few moments for posting. Katz, I hope to be taking pics later again. I want a pic of him doing the tunnel. He is so cute bounding through it.

He went to his first puppy class today, and exceeded my expectations by a ton!!He's just everything I'd hoped for!!
