Smile Potty training success (I think)

Satchel and I had come to a standstill with her potty habits. It was obvious she knew which door to go through to get outside because she would always pee right next to it. But I never seemed to be able to get it opened in time for her. If I did take her out before she had to go, she never went. It seemed that no matter how long we stood outside she would never go. But within three minutes after I brought her into the house I was guaranteed to be rushing her outside leaving a dribble trail all the way.

I went through every potty training thread I could find on here trying to figure out what I could do. Nothing seemed to help. Then a lightbulb came on. Since she was holding it outside and waiting to come in the house, I just let her come in. But before that three minute window closed I would take her right back out again. It works like a charm! We have been puddle free for a week now! It's a little early to be celebrating, but hopefully before too long Satchel will get the idea that she really must wait until she's outside.

December first will be her six month mark, and I hope she will be well on the way to adult privileges by then.

That is super great, now you got it so does puppy. Nice to hear it is figured out and she may make a mistake once in while, she should get real good at it?

Woohooo! Congratulations! I think you've crossed over! I hope it is smooth sailing from here.
