Exclamation Halle is doing good.........so far!

My Labrador Retriever, Hale is 10 weeks old on this Sunday. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old.
Much to my astonishment, 2 days after we got her, I told her to sit for the first time & she did. I could not believe it so I left it for most of the day & tried again................guess what she sat straight away & has been doing it ever since. She will go to the door & ask to go out. If she does not make it, about 75% of the time she does it on the newspaper. Halle will sit & stay whilst I back away until I release her. She will then as she comes to me go around my right leg & then sit at my left leg. She is starting to walk on her lead indoors & in the garden.
Yesterday I started to teach her to lay down on command & is doing fairly well.As puppies do, she is nipping at plants in the garden, eating dirt & grass. I guess I just have to try & stop her, but how?
When she starts to nip at our ankles, shoes/laces, trouser bottoms or our hands etc, we tell her no in a loud firm voice, sometimes we shout it really loud & pull our hands etc away from her as though she has hurt us. Most of the time she just looks as though she is taking in what we are saying, but sometimes she goes down on her front legs & barks, then jumps up at us. I don't know if that is normal or if we are doing things right, I guess it will work out in time.
Having said all that, am I pushing her to hard or not hard enough, although she does seem willing to please I don't want to do anything that I should not be doing

It's great that she's doing so well. Excellent news.

I think what you're describing about getting down on her front legs is a typical puppy play stance which is often accompanied by a bark. Usually, when the front legs are down, the butt is up & they often jump backwards or from side-to-side. If this is what you're describing, your pup is asking you to play.
