Listen.......my dog Chili doesnt respond to his name either. He hates his name. In fact...he told me he was offended by it, being a daschund and named after a food that sometimes goes on "hot-dogs"....well, he's waiting for an apology and a name change. Im not about to give in. No no no.....*I* am boss, not Chili.
He's upped the ante though.......in fact, just this morning while I went to get his leash and was happily telling him :"Hey Chili dog.....buddy, lets go out and go pee. Im getting your leash Chili"...he promptly peed on my bed.
Then he looked at me with eyes that said, "I will win the war my human-momma. Change my name from Chili."

Jeeze, the little girl just got to her new home and you want her to learn her name? Boy you are hard on her! No seriously, give her a few days until she feels at home. She will figure it out.
One thing you can try to get her to come to you is to have her be around a well-trained dog. Honestly when we got Sophia, having Zirc was fantastic. She would do whatever he did, and he was very good about coming when called. So she learned from him, which made things a whole lot easier for us.

The other possiblity which I hate to say, but y'never know is that she might not be the brightest bulb in the pack. I love Sophia dearly, but.....
you get the idea.

Well ....I'm not expecting much from her at all....like I said I know it maybe because "She's still getting adjusted" ... I know she's not confortable yet so I'm not being hard on her... I was just looking for advice

Thanks though

LOL..... but is there any like "tricks or methods" to slowly teach her????? I mean I'm not forcing her right now to learn anything, cause I mean hey... she's only been here for 2 days, but I was wanting to just slowly get here into learning.....

WOW!!! i'm surprised in her though.... NOW I have taught her to go potty outside when I take her out, and to sit.... I'm really happy she's learned that so quickly

Hmm, you can train her to learn her name

When she's looking at you, say her name and treat. Do it a few times then try saying her name while she's not looking. If she looks, treat her and praise her.

You'll have to wean her off of treats, and you could probably do it all with praise if you wanted.
