Exclamation Question about pets in pet stores

I went into a pet store on hoildays on the way back home, it looked small/interesting, so I thought I would check it out and take my baby in (Buddie) see if theres anything I can get him for pampering/spoiling type stuff. They had puppies and kittens, etc there. I was suprised, but I think if I had to judge I would like there style of things then places in Edmonton, since I can only say that place for sure. They were in pens, and good areas, lots of pets from people, holding, attention, ones down in edmonton, are like wire or bars on the bottom and small glass incase cages, whatever they are called and no petting unless you want to hold but you need to be 18 or have an adult, unless they do a pen but thats not always, usually for bigger breeds. Anywho, there is chi's and min pin's together in a pen, I would pet them and pick up one for a bit then another, then the chi was bullying the runt min pin, I am wondering what is the correct way to fix this or help this, I know they arnt mine and such, I am just wondering as general how you fix stuff like this, my sister came in when I said kittens, and she was blocking the chi with her hand like not touching to keep the chi away, and I just picked up the chi so the little one will have some peace. I dont know if that be rewarding the naughty puppy, or your to pick up the victum pup or not, so I was just wonder as general, what to do, the lil min pin didnt do anything, wasnt bugging the chi, nothing, so I dont know what's the chi problem is, I have a guess here or there, but yeah.

I'm not very sure, did you tell the person working there that they were fighting and it should be stopped?

I don't think animals should be allowed to be kept in a pet shop.. What happens to the poor little things at night and other times when they store is closed.. I think it is cruel and I would never buy a pup from a pet shop. Most of which have come from BYB's or puppy farmers.

I agree with Borzoi mad. Most puppies that are in pet stores come from BYBs or puppy mills. Sure, they are cute, but most of them are the result of irresponsible breeding and may have lots of health problems, deformations, etc.

i know your trying to do the right thing, but since they are puppies most likely they were just playing and it looked like fighting so there's not alot you can do about it.
Also they were in a pet shop so their bahavior will never be fixed until they are in a home setting.
and yes, picking up the pup that is acting bad or being naughty is a reward for the bahavior.

I've never seen a puppy or kitten in a pet shop, is it even legal nowadays in the UK?

no, just leave them.
the other puppy is not a "victim" of the situation in any way shape or form.
their puppies...thats how they play. if there was HUGE wholes being taken out of the puppies neck or blood gushing out of the puppy, then theirs a problem but i highly doubt that was the situation.

I highly doubt they were "attacking" each other. Puppies play like that, rough play. Same with most baby animals.

I understand that, I mean the way it was is like you biting me and pushing me etc, well I am just walking around not doing anything to you and just trying to get away. I mean a chi against a runt lil min pin, it's just different for me I guess. I don't register it as play.
