Puppies & kittens usually start eating puppy food mixed with milk replacer or water somewhere between 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 weeks.

Pics? I think we should see new pics.

After you put hot water on it, you need to make sure it cools down completely before giving it to the pups.

For the first couple of weeks I'd mix a good puppy food and puppy milk replacement in a blender until it was the consistency of thin oatmeal.

They have no clue at that age to look down for their food since they're used to having it a eye level while nursing. At first I'd let them lick it off my finger while gradually lowering my finger to the food dish. It might take several tries over a few days, but as moms milk begins to become less filling, theyll get the idea. By the time they're eating with gusto you can gradually begin giving it to them in a thicker consistency.

Have fun, it sure can be a mess at first!
