you need to see a vet ASAP!!! that sounds like they have gottten infected, and it cant spead to the pups and kill them if its not treated, it can also kill the mother dog as well, get her to a vet..

It is hard to tell from here if there is a problem or not. It is quite common for pups or kittens to pick their favorites to nurse from. If you are unsure in anyway, it is best to have a vet look at her.

I am feeding 3 pups now I am weaning or are weaned. I always put one in the back, just a thing I felt was right to remind them they are there to eat from. At this point u might want to all and talk to the vet, u do not want mastitis, spelling wrong, but the milk becomes bad and could effect the pups and you will need to bottle feed. I bottle fed six when the mom had to be spayed due to infection immediately. It was a pain fixing the formula, heating and feeding so often but now I think how much it was worth it all, they were huge and nice pups all sold. She lost 4 before I realized she was getting ill, so do not full around, this could be very serious.

I don't have any experience with mother dogs, so I can't help you there. But by the sound of the above posts, it sounds like it might be a problem. Good luck at the vets, hope all is well.

I looked at your pics in your photo album. I think it is best to have a vet take a look but they do appear to be normal; however, if milk is not expressed from them, they could certainly cause mastitis & that could become quite serious. Please do update us with news from your vet. Better safe than sorry in this case but try not to worry too much.

Excellent! So glad to hear everything is OK.

Now that the worry is over, isn't it time we see lots more puppy pics???
