Default Are the puppies feeding too young?

hi, I'm on my dinner break & have come hoem to feed & walk my dog's.. When i was making my dogs food teh 2 puppies which are 3 weeks tomorrow was crying?? so i put the prepared dogs meals down to my other dogs.. Then the puppies went up to their bowls & started eating from them too..

so i made a small seperate dish & gave to them & they ate the lot about 4 table spoons of nature diet between them..

They are only 3 weeks tomorrow are they starting to young to eat?? or is this slightly normal, I have read & always thought it was aroudn 4 weeks they start.. it's my first litter i have bred my self..

When I used to get weekly updates from Travis's breeder,I can remember her saying she started weaning them from 2 weeks and 6 days,so sounds like your pupster's are on track,

I have no experience raising puppies but whenever my kittens would decide it was time was good enough for me. As long as they're tolerating the food, I say leave them to it.

Flossie is most likely drying up because she's been sick. It's to her advantage to wean them now so her system can recover properly. I'm surprised your vet didn't mention that.

Be prepared for having to clean up after them though since mom won't do it once they're eating solids.

I don't have any experience in weaning pups on canned dog food. But if you're going to feed canned, they really need a puppy food rather than adult food.

It's okay to stick with the same brand but get the puppy formula instead of the adult.
