Smile Bichon Frise

Hi all,

I have recently adopted 2 Bichon Frise pups, Ellie and Teddy, i'm new to the world of Bichon and i am hoping to meet others who also have Bichon Frise, My pups are 9 weeks old, Ellie was born on the 9th April and comes from Newcastle and Teddy was born on the 11th April, he came from Castleford, We got Teddy nearly 3 weeks ago but Ellie we got only monday, so she is still a little timid. Both pups are doing well and have settled with each other wonderfully, i purchased a book last week on Bichons and its been very useful but i'm sure theres lots more to know about these little beauties, if anyone has any good tips, then please let me know,
Regards
Karen

Can't help you with the breed at all... not familar with the Bichon's. I am sure with the right owner they are an awesome breed. Good luck!

Bichons are lovely little dogs, but hope either you are a groomer or you know of someone who grooms as their coats are a lot of work. Two pups at the same time you do have your hands full, so good luck to you and your two lovely little ones.

Default Bichon Frise

Hi,
I've found them so far to be the best little pups i have dealt with, i'm no groomer but i comb and brush them every day, bath once a week, they tend to enjoy the brushing and don't seem to complain, at the moment they share a crate and amazingly i have not had them cry whilst in there, they both sleep in there at night and if i go out, when i'm at home i tend to leave the crate open, i did introduce them to the crate slowly allowing them to enter as and when, so now they treat it as their bed, no complaints on that side, Teddy is paper trained now and goes outside on the odd occasion, Ellie is still coming to terms with the training on paper, but she's getting there, Both pups sit on command now which i taught them using small amounts of hard cheese, works wonders, a few more days with the sit command, then onto the next. we are limited to home at present as both pups need their 2nd injection so we have fun in the garden and around the house.
They seem to entertain each other enough to wear themselves out so they sleep very well through the night, i usually get up at about 6 with them, which isnt a problem as i have to get the children up for school and do pack lunch,
But i got to say i have fallen head over heels with my new babies, their the best
The best prezzi my hubby has ever bought me
