Default Hello I'm new here

Hi everyone, I'm Sue and am owned by 6 rescue greyhounds. Five are mine and one old girl is a sponsor dog for Greyhound Gap. I'm married with 2 boys aged 14 and 11, we also have a 15 year old pet duck Mabel and I have a horse aged 27 who I've owned since she was 11 months old. My boys have 3 pet rats and tropical fish also!
These are 5 of my hounds, you can just see the number 6, her paws stretched out on the floor in front of my son trying to eat his tea

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'll introduce you to my hounds individually.
This is Andy who has been with for 6 years and will be 11 on 26 May

Willow was my 2nd hound and she will be 5 in June.

After these 2 I decided to foster for a rescue and failed with my first one! Tara was 10 1/2 when she came to me and she never left! She'll be 13 on the 28 May.

Joe came to me as a foster and was extremely nervous. He was only 18 months old and had obviously been mistreated. He still has his funny little ways but I love him.

We've fostered quite a few dogs that have gone on to fantastic homes but some I couldn't let go. Jake who came to me in October 2006 is now staying as I love him too much to see him go.

And finally Sasha who is 11 and a very wonky old girl. She hadn't been walked for months when she came to me. She's a feisty old girl but very loving. She is staying with me as a sponsor dog as she is a little too wonky to rehome.

So thats my hound family!

Sue

Oops silly, the second pic down is actually Sasha! They are so alike. This is Willow

Hi Sue and

Wow you have a whole ZOO there!
Did I read right, Sasha had not been walked for MONTHS?!?
Can you explain to me as a US member what is "wonky"? (I think I can guess but I am not sure)
Nice Zebra coat there on Willow!

Yes you read right, Sasha had been left with an old lady by her son and she was unable to walk her. When I collected her, her nails had grown up into her feet. She is much better now and enjoys her walks but still doesn't like uneven or stoney ground. She manages to bounce and play in the house though! Wonky means she walks a little wobbley and uneven. Her back legs aren't too good and she walks with a wiggle. She's a very feisty old girl though and always wants to chase cats when she sees them

Sue
