If you are feeding your Lab on dried complete, then most of the good brands will give you a feeding guide on the back of the sack. Just for you to be aware most Labradors are very greedy and will eat from morning till night given the chance
If you are in the UK, For me, Burn's is the make of food of choice.

Thanbk you. I feed her half a tin of dog meat and a jug full of dry food w=twice a day. The jug holds about a pint in volume. I have never worried about this before but after watching on the news about that fat lab and what it should be eating I got a bit worried as it didn't look much!

Are you in the UK Ava? There are some really good propiety (sp?) dog food on the market, personally I wouldn't touch any of the supermarket brands, basically the are full of rubbish. The best thing is to go to a pet store and ask their advice, as I said before, I'm biased, the Burn's dog foods are just full of goodness. You said the jug is about a pint in volume, that's maybe not a good idea unless you know the weight of the food that it holds. If you look on the back or side of the dried food they will give the weight to weight ratio.
