Default New here!

Hi,

Hi from The Netherlands!
On my search for information about the Cane Corso race i found this forum..
Me and my girlfriend are planning to buy a Cane Corso.. Met a couple of well-trained Corso's and they are lovely animals..
Still looking for more information though..
Never owned a dog before, but am used to a Bordeaux Dog and an american staffordshire terrier owned by friends..
Still need to chose between a female or male dog, and am not shure what the difference is in behaviour and stuff..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks!
Edo

You may find that the girls are more affectionate. Esp if neutered

Hi and welcome to the forum from me and my Gang in Bonnie Scotland.

I personally prefare males, as Females are very hormonal and I think that bocs are every bit as affextionate as girls, but that is only my Opinion and the decision at the end of the day has to be yours. Good luck with whatever you decide and do keep us posted.

Hi Edo....Welcome to the forum..... I always love the big dogs...and found out about the Cane Corsos while looking at Mastiffs....they are beautiful dogs...are you looking to rescue or buy from a breeder? There are many dogs in rescues on petfinder.com .....I would think females would be more trouble if not getting her spayed.....being a large breed definately would recommend obedience classes and a fenced in yard.... large breed dogs (OK..any dog) require responsiblity on the owners part.....especially since this breed has been given a "bad" reputation by the public....personally I love them...the bigger the better.... I just think large breed dogs...need to be in the hands of responsible owners......good luck with your search.....

Oh you made my day, Eunice - females are very hormonal - I'm going to post that up in the tea room of the Menopausal clinic - LOL

Welcome to the forum. Girls, boys, they are both lovely. I've had both. The main thing is that you treat them like dogs and not humans. I'm not familiar with the breed, can you post some pictures?
