![]() Hello, my name is Jerusha, and I am from Canada. My dog's name is Chester who is my first dog. He is a little over a year old. He is half GSD, and his mother was a lab crossed with a border collie, but some how a lot of the collie traits showed up in both markings and behavior. I have had Chester since he was a small puppy. He has meant a lot to me since he has helped me a lot mentally and physically with my illness, which is lyme disease.
I have joined this forum because I enjoy learning about care and training of dogs and sometimes enjoy sharing some of my own opinions. I hope that I can learn a lot from here as well as have a positive experience here. Here is a few pictures of Chester and I.. mostly Chester though. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's Chester playing with a friend's dog. ![]() Yea I know it's by a garbage can... but he looks nice in this photo ![]() ![]() Thanks for reading! |

![]() Hello and welcome. I am Sandra and I live on the coast of Texas just out of Corpus Christi. We have a golden retriever, Sophie, who will be 12 on Jan. 8, and a Great Pyrenees, Moose who is 8. Both are adopted. We did get Sophie from her original owners, so know here birthday date and age for sure. Moose, well, he was thought to be 3 when found and adopted and he was with them for 4 years before they moved and couldn't take him. we got him a year ago last month, so that would put him about 8.
Sophie is a red golden retriever, also called a field golden and many think she is an Irish Settee because of her coloring. She is my 6th golden retriever, and 3 have been golden, 3 have been red. Moose is what is called a badger great Pyrenees. Until I started researching before getting a pyr, I had thought they were all solid white and was surprised to learn that two solid what parents can have a litter with any numver of badger marked pups, and two badger parents can have litters with any number of solid white pups. I am 70 and have found I can always learn new stuff. lol welcome to the forum to you and Chester, a most hand handsome dog. he appears to have a freckled ring around one front leg above his paw. I find that quite unusual and attractive.l
