Default Sniff sniff!

A friendly sniff of the opposing end, we're friends now right?

Hi there!

I've been browsing the forum for some time now but decided to sign up and take part!

How do I begin - sit down and a shake of the paw?

Well, I'm the owner of a beautiful Toy Poodle x Mini Foxie named Pipi, of seven years now. Recently I was diagnosed with three incurable diseases and the one I've turned to for comfort was my little girl. The simple warmth of her stomach along my back has been enough to get my through the pain most nights - I don't know what I would do without her. Due to these illnesses, I am unable to take part in many activities, however; the one thing that brings me joy and excitement is my trips to the dog park with Pipi. It's taken some time but she's finally easing into the socialising game (mind you, as long as no one slobbers on her tennis ball!)

In addition, we also have two more dogs - Max, who is a cross, and Teddy, a purebred Chihuahua. Teddy was unfortunately born with a cataract - leaving him blind in one eye, yet he is still one of the happiest, and funniest, little guys you will ever meet!

In the coming months I will (hopefully) begin my course in Veterinary Nursing. It's always been a dream of mine since a very young age to be a Vet, but as things have changed Vet Nursing was the next best option for me! I'm currently in the midst of obtaining my Pet Technician Certificate, and recently acquired the certification of head to tail initial examinations!

I look forward to the upcoming hurdles and sharing my experiences and learning of you and your four legged friends on this forum.

We're at the gate now - the leash must go on and I must say thank you in advance for the welcomes and I'll see you around the dog park!

Four Paws, welcome to the forum. Looking forward to your future posts and hopefully pictures of your 3 pups. Good luck in your schooling. Becoming a veterinary nurse is a great course to follow. After all, what would any doctor do without his nurse?!. Congratulations on passing your first step to becoming a Vet tech.

Welcome to Dog Forum! I am glad you can get to the dog park. I have an email friend that lives in a suburb of Melbourne and is house bound. She used to have a cat and misses the company. She would like to have a dog but isn't mobile enough.

Thanks, techie! So sorry to hear about your friend - she must be a strong person, I couldn't imagine going through even the minutest hurdle without my dogs. Sending happy and healthy vibes to both of you thanks again for the kind welcome!
