Default Hello From WA!

Hello from Southern Washington! I'm looking forward to using this forum-probably mostly in the herding dog section. I have a 9 year old chocolate lab/husky and five 8-week-old border collie/lab and something else puppies. The puppies were supposed to be purebred border collie, but it appears that a different dog snuck in too. I "think" there maybe one purebred but I don't know. Their dam, Riika, died 3 weeks ago in a tragic accident that I'd rather not talk about. She was THE dog of my life.
Here are some pictures.

This is the one I'm keeping, Duke. Do you think he is pure? Either way, he is already showing the herding instincts-on the chickens. (His dam did that and people began sic'ing her on them and she became a chicken eater.)

The dam, Riika.

Sadie my 9-year-old lab cross.

We also have Icelandic horses, Angus cows, Alpine goats, all kinds of chickens, and 7 cats.

Welcome from another 'tonian.
How far south are you? If you aren't too far from Roy there is a herding dog training outfit Ewe-topia which I've had my aussie to once and would like to go again Ewe-topiaź Herd Dog Training
And another I just heard of is Fido's farm just east of Olympia and want to take Sadie there for a herding evaluation Fido's Farm - Fun and Fitness for Both Ends of the Leash! Dog boarding, dog daycare, dog training, dog sports and activities, off leash frolic on 80 acres!
Actually Fido's farm sounds better...costs more but they get a lot more time.
