Default Foods not suitable for daschunds

I'm a new member and a new dog owner, I have a three month old miniature daschund and he has recently developed a love for eating banana skins, I have searched online and can't find anything about banana

I have to admit, this is a new one on me. I'll have to see what I can find. I'm not aware of a problem with banana peels, but they aren't generally considered food or treats, either! I'll see what I can find.

Daschunds owner, welcome to the Forum! I do know bananas are ok, but the skins are a new one for me too.

I just checked on-line and banana peels are not toxic, but they can cause a blockage in some cases. Just like the fruit part, if given too much, it can cause stomach upset. Which is a nice way of saying your dog will have the runs.
