Hi everybody I am new to the forum and I am considering getting a german shepard as a service dog for my medical condition's ( heart disease and strokes) - I would appreciate any suggetions about the breed of dog?

I have no prior experience with Service Dogs other than watching a few documentaries and reading about them. I believe GSD and Labs are the primary dogs used for this job. I've seen shelter mixes, border collies, etc in some documentaries.
